What is this Hackathon all about?

The Global Space Content Creator Hackathon is an exciting, high-pressure Limited period content creation sprint built for aspiring and established creators. It’s where creativity, speed, and storytelling collide. Participants get a real brand brief, spend 24 hours ideating, shooting, editing, and posting content, and compete to create the most compelling, high-performing videos.

Whether you're a creator, editor, meme-maker, storyteller, filmmaker, or someone obsessed with creating content — this is the ultimate creator playground. It’s your chance to work with real brands, gain visibility, build your portfolio, and win prizes.

What do you have to do?

During the competition window, your job is simple:

Create, post, and submit content for the partner brand.

This can include:

  • Instagram Reels

  • YouTube Shorts


Your content must be fun, engaging, original, and aligned with the brand’s product or challenge. Every creator/team must upload their content from their own social media accounts and submit the links within the given timeframe.

Terms & Conditions

1. Participation Format
  • Participants may compete solo or in teams (maximum team size will be announced per event).

  • All team members must be officially registered with accurate details.

2. Mandatory Social Media Requirement
  • All participants must follow the official Global Space Instagram page for updates, instructions, and announcements.

  • Any participant found unfollowing during the event may miss critical updates, for which Global Space is not responsible.

  • All participants must have their social media account as public for obvious reasons.

3. Official Challenge Duration (24 Hours)
  • The Hackathon runs for a fixed 24-hour window, starting from the official start time communicated during orientation.

  • Only content shot, edited, posted, and submitted within this window will be accepted.

4. Brand Approval Before Posting (Strict Rule)
  • Before uploading any content on Instagram, YouTube, or any social platform, participants must first share the content with the respective brand for approval.

  • Content can be uploaded ONLY after receiving explicit approval from the brand.

  • Uploading without approval = Immediate Disqualification.

  • Screenshots/proof of approval must be kept ready for verification if requested.

5. Content Requirements & Restrictions
  • Content must be created from scratch during the 24-hour window.

  • Pre-shot footage, old clips, templates with pre-existing videos, or plagiarized ideas are strictly prohibited.

  • Any AI-generated content must comply with brand guidelines and must not misrepresent real people or brands.

  • All audio used must be copyright-safe or approved by the brand.

6. Upload Deadlines
  • Every Reel/Short/Video must be uploaded within the specific upload window provided during briefing.

  • Late submissions—even by a few seconds—will not be considered.

7. Fair Play & Conduct

Participants must maintain honesty and fairness throughout the event. The following actions can lead to disqualification:

  • Buying likes, comments, views, followers, or engagement

  • Using third-party tools or bots

  • Misrepresenting content metrics

  • Harassing or disturbing other participants

  • Tampering with the event process or guidelines

Global Space reserves the right to review, audit, and investigate any suspicious activity.

8. Orientation & Additional Rules
  • Detailed instructions—including brand brief, storyboards, challenge guidelines, and submission formats - will be shared during the event orientation.

  • These additional rules carry equal weight as the T&Cs listed here.

9. Brand Usage Rights
  • All content created during the Hackathon may be used by Global Space and partner brands for marketing, advertising, promotions, and paid campaigns.

  • Participants grant a royalty-free, global, perpetual license for the usage of their submitted content.

10. Data & Privacy Compliance
  • By participating, you consent to the collection of essential information for event execution (name, email, phone, social media handles, and submissions).

  • All data is protected as per the Global Space Privacy Policy.

11. Liability & Responsibility
  • Global Space is not responsible for:

    • Network issues, upload failures, or device problems

    • Account restrictions from Instagram/YouTube

    • Copyright strikes due to unapproved music or assets

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring:

    • Their accounts are public (if required)

    • They comply with platform community guidelines

12. Disqualification Clause

Instant disqualification may occur for:

  • Uploading content without brand approval

  • Submitting content outside the event window

  • Using pre-shot footage

  • Fake or manipulated metrics

  • Violation of platform rules or community guidelines

  • Misconduct towards organizers, participants, or brand teams

Global Space holds the right to final decision-making.

13. Final Decision Authority
  • All decisions made by Global Space regarding scoring, approvals, winners, disqualifications, or disputes are final and binding.

  • No appeals will be entertained.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the Global Space Hackathon, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, as well as any additional rules communicated during the event.

15. Participant Eligibility & Qualification Screening

Registration does not guarantee participation.
Every participant must qualify based on the Global Space Eligibility Criteria before receiving the official invitation to compete.

Eligibility will be verified by the Global Space team and may include (but is not limited to) the following mandatory checks:

15.1 Public Account Requirement
  • The participant’s Instagram/YouTube account must be public.

  • Private accounts will be automatically disqualified.

15.2 Authentic Engagement Check
  • The participant’s past content must not show signs of artificial boosting, including but not limited to:
    • Purchased likes, comments, or followers

    • Bot-driven engagement

    • Sudden unnatural spikes in activity

  • Any account detected with inorganic activity will be rejected without appeal.

15.3 Minimum Audience Requirement
  • Participants must have at least:

    • 500 followers on Instagram, or

    • 500 subscribers on YouTube

  • Micro/nano creators are welcome as long as they meet the threshold and show authentic engagement.

15.4 Identified Content Niche
  • Creators must have a clearly visible niche or consistent content theme such as:

    • Entertainment

    • Lifestyle

    • Tech

    • Gaming

    • Fashion

    • Education

    • Comedy

    • Fitness

    • etc.

  • Participants posting random, non-consistent content may be asked to clarify their niche.

15.5 Additional Verification Checks

Global Space reserves the right to assess:

  • Profile originality (no repurposed or stolen content)

  • Recent posting activity (must be active within last 60 days)

  • Brand safety compliance (no offensive, harmful, or illegal content)

  • Age eligibility (must meet college/event-specific criteria)

15.6 Right to Reject
  • Global Space may reject any registration that does not meet the eligibility criteria.

  • The qualification decision is final and non-negotiable.

15.7 Invitation to Participate
  • Only qualified participants will receive the official Hackathon Participation Invitation via email or WhatsApp.

  • Those who do not qualify will not be allowed to compete in the event, even if they completed the registration form.
